REPRESENTED ARTIST
Amin Balaghi
Figurative sculpture in bronze.
Amin Balaghi is an Iranian-Canadian sculptor who studied sculpture at Tehran University of Art, where he later taught sculpture and bronze-casting techniques. Over more than two decades of professional practice, his works have been exhibited in ten countries, and several monumental sculptures have been installed in public spaces internationally. His practice is rooted in figurative sculpture, combining the human figure with geometric and architectural forms to explore memory, identity, migration, transformation, and human connection. His bronze Broken Moon was selected as Best Sculpture at the Sculptors' Society exhibition at Pendulum Gallery in Vancouver, and his six-metre Dive to Memory was named best work at an international sculpture symposium in Romania. He is the founder and director of a professional sculpture and bronze-casting studio in Langley, British Columbia.
